Live the whitewater experience in beautiful Chilean Patagonia while getting to know our class II and IV rivers. During our whitewater rafting courses, you will paddle alongside international rafting instructors and experience our daily routines first-hand.
BEGINNERS
DURATION: 10 days

DAY 1
– Meeting at the Camp Domes, introduction to the course
– Theory, hydrology and river morphology
– Descent down the Espolón River, verification of guiding level
– The different techniques of how to take the paddle

DAY 2

– How to steer the raft
– How to hold and flow in a gentle current
– How to swim in white water
– How to perform self rescue

DAYS 3-9
We will practice and perfect the different techniques in the Espolón and Azul rivers.

– Final evaluation, IRF class II – III certification

INTERMEDIATE
DURATION: 15 days

DAY 1

DAYS 6-14
We’ll apply all the techniques learned in the previous days and navigate the Azul and Futaleufú rivers, perfecting techniques.
DAY 15
– Final evaluation of IRF Class III – IV certification
– End of the course with Patagonian barbecue

ADVANCED (OARS)
DURATION: 20 days

DAY 1
– Meeting at the Camp Domes, introduction to the course
– Theory and introduction of OARS
– River communication
– Introductory descent over the Futaleufú River – Bridge to Bridge Section
– (Optional: Rescue 3 WRT-PRO)
– Theory and introduction of OARS

DAYS 2-19
We’ll use the CLAP method to function in the best way in the coming days:
– We will learn to read a river with a large volume of water, identify the best lines and risks depending on the level and section.
– We’ll paddle all sections of the Futaleufú River while practicing the different portage options that you can use in large water rivers.

Final evaluation, IRF certification class IV

ABOUT OUR RAFTING COURSES
How much will we work each day?
We’ll start each day at 9AM until approximately 12PM We’ll have an hour break and we will finish at 5PM We’ll have half a day free to rest and process everything we’ve learned.
For sleeping?
Accommodation in the Domes during the course, a cabin with all the comforts.
Gear?
We’ll provide any technical equipment you may be missing.

Validity?
